Switch version?
Not confirmed.

The PC launch is official. A Switch edition is not. This page keeps those two facts separate and will need a new official announcement before its answer changes.

Quick answer

No Nintendo Switch version or Switch release date has been confirmed in the official sources checked on September 15, 2026. Welcome to Elderfield is currently documented as a Windows game on Steam. This is a current-status answer, not a claim that a Switch port can never happen.

What was checked.

The current Steam product page lists Windows system requirements, and the official launch announcement describes the full version 1.0.0 release. Neither source names Nintendo Switch as a launch platform.

This is negative evidence from a defined set of first-party materials—not proof about private development plans. A future Nintendo eShop page, publisher announcement, or developer post would supersede it.

Controller support does not mean Switch support.

Steam's full-controller-support label describes input support for the PC edition. It does not create a Nintendo Switch build, certify Switch hardware performance, or establish an eShop release.

Avoid the common leap: “works with a controller” answers a control-method question. “available on Nintendo Switch” requires an official platform listing.

What would count as confirmation.

  • A Nintendo eShop product page for Welcome to Elderfield.
  • A dated announcement from the developer or publisher naming Nintendo Switch.
  • A release trailer or press release with Nintendo Switch platform branding.

Until one of those appears, release-date estimates are speculation.
