Buy the Basic Pickaxe from Mall Rat inside the Mall Mine. The current wiki lists the cost as 75g; treat that number as a current wiki value, not an independently verified permanent price. The Rusty Pickaxe comes earlier from Molly's “Helping Molly” task.

- Progress through Molly's Helping Molly task to obtain the Rusty Pickaxe.
- Use the Mall/Mall Mine progression until you can reach the mine vendor.
- Find Mall Rat in the Mall Mine and check the stock for the Basic Pickaxe.
- Confirm the price shown in your build before planning purchases around 75g.
Rusty and Basic are separate progression steps.

Why the 75g price has a label.
The September 15 Items revision lists 75g. A third-party tips video gives conflicting 150g and 50g statements while also mixing up axe and pickaxe names, so those figures are not used here.
Prices can also change in patches. The vendor screen in your current build is the final check before purchase.
If the tool is missing or the upgrade stalls.
- Verify whether the missing item is the Rusty or Basic tier.
- Check Molly's task state before searching Mall Rat for the starter tool.
- Record your version, current tool tier, and vendor stock before reporting a progression issue.
- Do not treat older reports of disappearing tools as a permanent mechanic; that behavior may be patch-specific.
